Aalaya means home — and that is exactly what we set out to build. Not just a food venture, but a place where every dish carries warmth, memory, and meaning.
It grew quietly, in every meal we cooked together, every friend who said “you should really do this,” every time food made being far from home feel a little easier.
We are Mohit and Himanshi, rooted in Burnaby, BC. Our kitchen brings together authentic North Indian recipes, creative fusions, and lovingly baked goods — made from scratch, just as they would be at home.
